Biography
Zhuohua Li is a Huashan Distinguished Professor at the Guangzhou Institute of Technology, Xidian University, and a Ph.D./M.Sc. advisor. He received his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2017, and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2022, under the supervision of Prof. John C.S. Lui (ACM/IEEE Fellow, Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences, Changjiang Scholar, and recipient of the CCF Overseas Outstanding Contribution Award). He then continued as a postdoctoral fellow at the Advanced Networking and System Research Laboratory (ANSRLab) at CUHK. In 2025, he joined Xidian University and is currently a member of the Institute of Computing Theory and Technology (Guangzhou).
His research lies at the intersection of theory and systems, with a focus on applying rigorous theoretical methodologies to practical system problems. His current research interests include, but are not limited to:
Multi-armed bandits: Designing efficient, robust, and theoretically sound online learning algorithms with applications in computer networks and recommender systems.
Quantum networks and quantum computing: Developing protocols for quantum networks and exploring the potential of quantum computing to accelerate classical algorithms.
System security and software engineering: Applying program analysis, testing, formal verification, and AI-driven techniques to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities in real-world software systems.
