Personal Profile

Zhang Huanhuan is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Xidian University, a core member of the National Key Laboratory of Radar Detection and Sensing, a senior member of the China Institute of Communications and the Chinese Society for Optical Engineering, and an IEEE Senior Member. His main research directions include multi-physics field simulation of RF systems, antenna design, computational electromagnetics, electromagnetic compatibility, etc. He has published more than 100 papers in top journals and academic conferences in the field, such as IEEE TAP and IEEE TMTT, and has obtained multiple authorized invention patents.

  He has undertaken a number of vertical projects, including the Youth/General/Key/Major Scientific Research Instrument Development Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, the Basic Strengthening Plan of National Ministries and Commissions, and the Key R&D Plan of Shaanxi Province. He has also presided over a number of horizontal projects for units such as China Electronics Technology Group, China Shipbuilding Group, Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Huawei, ZTE, and vivo.

  He serves as a guest editor of the well-known SCI journal Sensors, a young editorial board member of the Chinese core science and technology journal Modern Applied Physics, and a reviewer for more than 20 well-known journals in the field. He has served as a session chair/technical committee member/session chair for more than 10 domestic and international academic conferences and has given more than 10 invited reports. He has been selected into the Elsevier "Top 2% of the World's Top Scientists List".

  He has won the first prize in the Young Teachers' Teaching Competition of Xidian University, the "Young Scientist" Award of the International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES2019), the "Young Scientist" Award of the International Conference on Photonics and Electromagnetics (PIERS2024), the first prize of Shaanxi Province Science and Technology Progress Award (2025), the special prize of Excellent Achievements in Scientific and Technological Research of Shaanxi Higher Education Institutions (2025), the first prize of Natural Science of Shaanxi Institute of Electronics (2025), the first prize of Science and Technology Progress of Shaanxi Institute of Electronics (2021), and the "Second Prize for Technology Cooperation Achievement Transformation" of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
