王宇平，西安电子科技大学二级教授，博士生导师，学院教授委员会副主任，国家科学技术奖评审专家，国家重点研发计划重点专项评审专家，国家自然科学基金项目会评专家。1993年6月在西安交通大学获博士学位，1997年晋升为教授。1995年被评为电子工业部优秀科技青年，2018年度西安电子科技大学师德标兵,2015-2016年度西安电子科技大学优秀教师。国际杂志《Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering》编委、《Neurocomputing》、《International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence》、《Connection Science》、《International Journal of Innovative Computing Information and Control》、《International Journal of Sensor Networks》等的客座编辑（Guest-Editor），多次担任国际会议的大会主席和程序委员会主席。曾任陕西省计算数学学会副理事长，全国经济数学与管理数学学会副理事长。现为IEEE高级会员（Senior Member of IEEE）。

分别於2008年、2009年和2010年7~9月，2006年和2007年7~10月及2004年3~9月应邀去香港城市大学作访问研究员， 於1998.4~1998.12，2000.2~2001.3和2002.4 ~2003.1应邀去香港浸会大学作访问学者，在1997年1-7月应邀去香港中文大学作访问副研究员。

主持了国家自然科学基金项目、教育部留学回国人员科研启动基金、博士点基金、陕西省自然科学基金重点项目等20多项科研项目. 获陕西省自然科学二等奖一项、国家教委和电子工业部级奖科技进步二等奖2项、陕西省优秀教学成果一等奖一项，出版专著一部和一个Book Chapter。已在《IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation》、《IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics》、《IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics-A》、《IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics-C》、《IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering》、《IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology》、《Artificial Intelligence》、《Pattern Recognition》、《Evolutionary Computation》、《Information Sciences》、《Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering》、《Applied Softcomputing》、《Knowledge-Based Systems》、《Applied Mathematics and Computation》、《INFORMS Journal on Computing》、《Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications》、《Journal of Global Optimization》、《International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence》、《计算机学报》、《软件学报》、《电子学报》、《应用数学学报》、《计算数学》等国内，外刊物以及国际会议发表有关论文260多篇，SCI论文120多篇。
